We celebrate our armed soldiers and veterans every day in America, but on this day, we specifically honor those who sacrificed everything so we can enjoy the hallmark liberties that bless the envy of all nations; the United States. Unfortunately, many millions of brave Americans lost their lives from the horrors of war. From those who protested tyranny in the Revolutionary War, to those who fought to free the slaves in the Civil War, to those that crushed fascism in Europe and East Asia and those that combatted terrorism following the vicious 9/11 attacks, we all thank you. No matter your ethnicity, race, political leaning, or religion, you protected us and our way of life. Thank you and God bless all the heroes we lost throughout history.
